Sometimes when you’re young, it’s easy to feel like all the older people are having way more fun than you are. This feeling might not be stronger at any time than at bedtime when all the older kids and adults stay awake but the young children go to sleep. At least, that’s how it is for Jack, who is curious about the parties his older brother and parents supposedly throw every night after Jack goes upstairs. So what’s Jack to do? Well, stay up all night to scope out the situation for himself, of course. However, what Jack doesn’t know, is that what actually happens at night might be less climatic than a party but it’s far, far more meaningful.
