Millions of homes across the country get their water through hazardous lead pipes. Finding and removing those pipes, though, can be tricky due to incomplete records. But a team at the University of Michigan developed a smart computer program to predict which neighborhoods and households would be most likely to have them. Those researchers have now formed a company called Blue Conduit. Jared Webb is their chief data scientist.
