Dust Bowl Conditions

Guest: Gannet Hallar, Professor of Atmospheric Sciences, University of Utah A month ago, a storm on the plains in Eastern Colorado kicked up a huge wall of dust that blew three hundred miles through Nebraska, Kansas and into Texas. It was so big, weather satellites spotted it from space. There’s reason to believe that dust storms will be more and more common across the Great Plains. We may even see a return to the devastating Dust Bowl conditions during the Great Depression in the 1930s.
