Are GMO's Safe? (14:08) Fred Gould, Ph.D., is a University Professor of Entomology and Co-Director of the Genetic Engineering and Society Center of North Carolina State University. GMO, or genetically modified organisms, help grow hybrid crops to decrease the chance of crop failure and increase the yield of produce. Many parents are concerned with this seemingly “unnatural” type of food. Are GMO crops actually unsafe to eat? Dr. Gould explains.
