War is a topic that has followed us throughout history. From the beginning of human civilization there have been wars among men over land, resources, religion and much more. Many have fought, fallen and conquered. Most everyone has been influenced in some way by war whether that be through being on the front lines, being influenced by political decisions, or losing a loved one, war touches us all. But, through these hard times we get to glimpse at what matters most in life; faith and love in each other and ourselves. Through this we can push forward through terrible circumstances and find hope in the depths of trial. Even when all seems lost in the midst of smoke and flame, even when circumstances can’t seem to get any worse, there is always love, and life, and hope. And often, that is all you need.
