In just over ten years, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. gave over 2,500 addresses. Those addresses ranged from religious sermons, to electric discourses on civil rights that changed the course of history. His “I Have a Dream” speech is undoubtedly his most famous speech, but several of his other speeches are just as moving and significant in the Civil Rights Movement. So today, to honor his legacy we want to take a look at some of his lesser-known speeches. Here to help us today is president of the World Communication Association, professor and chair of African American and African Diaspora Studies at Indiana University, Dr. Carolyn Calloway-Thomas.
