Great First Date
I think it’s safe to say that first dates are the worst. In preparation, you spend hours picking out the right outfit and cleaning your car. Then comes the date. You think too hard about the questions you should ask and spend the last half of the date wondering if you should give your date a hug, a side hug, or a kiss. And what about that post-date text? While the majority of first dates don’t turn into the romantic relationship you’re looking for, there are some things you can do to make your dating life a little more fun and less stressful. Here to give us tips for having a great first date is our favorite relationship expert, Kim Seltzer.

The Art of Downsizing
Moving at any point in time is frustrating and tiring. Downsizing, however, can take on a whole new set of difficulties as you make the move to living on a smaller scale. I don’t know about you, but I have a lot of stuff: Clothes, shoes, kitchenware, and gardening supplies, to name a few. I feel like I need all of this to live the life I want... and I know other people feel the same way. So, what do we do with it all when we want to downsize? Karen Shinn, owner and founder of the Downsizing Diva, is here to discuss the benefits of downsizing and how to make the transition as efficiently and as painlessly as possible.

You Thought You Were Over It But NOPE: Widower to Widower
How do you get through grief when, even years down the road, “birthdays, songs, anniversaries, favorite movies,” even “sporting events” can trigger those feelings of loss? Fred Colby, author and Grief Group Facilitator, says that “these moments don’t have to be negative. They can be joyful and provide a sense of connectedness instead.”

Free Climbing
What is the most daring thing you have ever done? And what was going through your mind as you did it? Well today, we are speaking with dare devil Iain Miller who scales cliffs and sea stacks 100 meters tall, including Cnoc na Mara off the coast of Ireland. But what’s even more amazing is that he does it without any equipment. This is called free climbing. We thought this sounded terrifying and also really cool, so we invited him onto the show to tell us more about how he conquers these daunting heights.

Sequoia National Park
Today for Lisa’s Adventure Club, we are heading to one of the oldest national parks: Sequoia National Park. Sequoia is a vast and beautiful park. The past couple weeks it has been in danger, and the trees have started burning. These trees have been there for years on end, so it is a tragedy that this is happening. Here to tell us everything we need to know about the area is Bob Gilbert. Bob is the Vice President of sales and marketing for Sequoia National Park, Yosemite, and Shenandoah National Park and chaired the National Park Promotion Council.
