Standardized Testing (11:16) Dr. Anjalé Welton,Assistant professor in education, policy, organization, and leadership at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Welton examines how opportunity structures—such as issues of stratification and access to college preparation and information—shape the connections that students of color make to educational resources and matriculation to college. Dr. Welton and Dr. Townsend talk about the issues surrounding standardized testing.
