A joint expedition from Yale and Belgium’s Royal Museums of Art and History uncovered some of the largest and oldest hieroglyphs ever found, dating back over 5,000 years. Egyptologist John Coleman Darnell, a professor in Yale’s Department of Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations led the expedition.
