Today we explore a selection of stories that all talk about the relationships adults have with children. We start with a story from our host, Sam Payne, about a bookshelf his father made for their family, followed by a discussion with Gene Nelson about a food that’s been passed down through generations. Today’s featured story is an abridgement of a long-form story by Elizabeth Ellis entitled Wading in the Jordan. The story is the surprisingly funny account of the journey Ms. Ellis’ mother, and consequently her whole family, took on the way to the next life.
