Have you switched the heater on in your home yet? It’s just about that time if you haven’t yet. And when your gas bill comes, you may be a bit surprised. Around the world, natural gas prices have jumped. In Asia and Europe, prices have more than tripled this year to an all-time high. The increase isn’t nearly as bad in the US yet. But oil and gas are a global market, so everything’s connected. Energy analyst Richard Meyer, who is a vice president at the American Gas Association, explains the situation.
