World War II is Hollywood’s favorite war—maybe because the Nazis are such a clearly evil foil for American heroics. Also, probably because the US lost a lot more troops in World War II than in World War I. That war has been pretty much forgotten by Hollywood, says Kirsten Hawkes of ParentPreviews.com. But she's Canadian, and for Canada, Australia, and the UK, World War I was a critical conflict. So she’s put together a list of films that take a look at that significance.
