Forty-four years ago, in a galaxy far, far away, Star Wars set a gold standard for special effects in Hollywood. Now, Lucasfilm is at it again with The Mandalorian on Disney+. The production team, which has won an Emmy award, has all but done away with the traditional green-screen method of filming special effects and replaced it with a circular room lined with LED screens that can show different settings.
