Smoking and tobacco use appear to be on the rise in some of the streaming TV shows most popular with young people–like The Queen’s Gambit and Stranger Things on Netflix. The anti-tobacco Truth Initiative’s latest report also found that young people who see those images on TV are not more likely to start smoking, but they are more likely to start vaping.
