In keeping with the holiday, this episode features a good and proper parade of phantasmagoric medleys courtesy of the student musicians of The Young Ambassadors Showband.  You can test your knowledge of Halloween-esque TV and movie themes right now by jumping to the band’s HALLOWEEN MASHUP  An internationally known ensemble, the Showband is the instrumental counterpart to Brigham Young University’s singing, dancing and frequently touring dance troupe: the Young Ambassadors.  Recently the ensemble has concertized across the western United States and China. The band’s been featured on several albums released by BYU Records, their most recent being "Harmony the Music of Life."  They performed during the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City and have performed in front of kings, queens, prime ministers and other citizens in countries around the globe. Their standard (non-ghoulish) repertoire is the fast-paced popular music of American musical theater.  The musicians of the Young Ambassador Showband are: Eric Hansen (electric bass), Garrett Breeze (trombone), Skylar Steel and Justin Firth (trumpet), David Rusk and Katherine Lyman (keyboard), Brad Davis (saxophone), Parker Spiers (electric guitar), Josh Eastman (virtual drum set), Shannon Oh (electronic drums).  Follow Highway 89 on twitter @byuH89
