International Women’s Day, which happened this week, has been a global event since the 1970s. But it’s taken on new life with social media. The point is two-fold: to celebrate women’s achievements and rally for women’s equality. And Rachel Wadham shares her thoughts on biographies of historical females, how female protagonists have drawn in all types of readers, and the types of female stories she would like to see shared more in the future. Wadham is a professor of education at Brigham Young University and host of the Worlds Awaiting podcast at byuradio.org.
