There is an old African proverb that goes: Once after a storm, the beach was littered with starfish. One man walked down the beach and picked up on starfish at a time and chucked them back into the ocean. Another man walked by and scoffed, “you will never be able to save all the starfish out here.” To which the wise man responded, “yes I know, but to this one I have made all the difference” as he throws one more into the ocean. How does this proverb relate to us, in a world full of more problems that are bigger and more complex than we can solve on our own? What are the things we can do to make the world a little bit better for those around us? Today, motivational speaker and author Ganel-Lyn Condie joins us to discuss her acronym of H.E.L.P and how it helps us make the world just a little bit better one step at a time.
