Rice and beans are a staple food around the world. They’re affordable and plentiful and an environmentally friendly source of protein. Eating a lot of beans and rice may help prevent colorectal cancer, too, which is great news. Except that not many Americans are keen to work a lot of beans and rice into their diet.
