"Freedom” has various definitions. For example, “The power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint.” Meaning, freedom to express oneself.  Another definition: “Absence of subjection to foreign domination or despotic government.” We might think of this type of freedom on Independence Day. And lastly, “The state of not being imprisoned or enslaved.”  Today on the Apple Seed, we want to celebrate freedom. Storytellers Diane Ferlatte, Tim Lowry, Rosie Cutrer, Kate Dudding, and Michael Reno Harrell approach freedom in its various forms with their anecdotes, and teach of liberty, unity, and individuality.  On today’s episode, enjoy the following: “East Kentucky Dream” by Michael Reno Harrell "Next Town” by Diane Ferlatte  "Old Folks at the DMV” by Tim Lowry  "Freedom Bird” by Rosie Cutrer  "Ruby Bridges” by Kate Dudding
