Call and Butler

: Songwriters Cherie Call and Lyndy Butler are accomplished songwriters each in her own right. Each has a catalog of great solo recordings and a wealth of experience on stage in front of enthusiastic audiences. But they hardly knew each other before Lyndy reached out to Cherie to see if she might be interested in collaborating on a children’s project. Cherie got ready to say no – she was too busy, and hadn’t ever really considered a children’s album. But something inside said, “say yes!” The result is a collaborative album called “The Buddy System.” We sat down with Cherie and Lyndy to talk about musical storytelling, parenthood, collaboration, and of course, the album.
