December is a magical time of year where the spirit of Christmas seems to ring loud and clear every day. We wake up refreshed and renewed in anticipation for presents, Christmas trees decorated with ornaments and lights, all of our favorite Christmas goodies, and most importantly, the happiness and spirit that Christmas brings into our lives. One of our favorite parts of Christmas here on The Apple Seed is the stories that are told year after year; those classic Christmas stories that we all know and love. Today's episode features one particular story that has become a classic during Christmas time, but we bring it to you in ways you might not have heard it before. "A Christmas Carol" is a Christmas favorite, and we are excited to share it with you. (2:18) "A Christmas Carol" Reader's Theater: Every now and then, we love to bring stories to life with voice actors and fun sound effects here on The Apple Seed. For this Christmas season, we have done just that with the Charles Dickens story "A Christmas Carol". With the original words from Dickens story, we turned this beloved tale into a reader's theater to perform in front of our live studio audience with talented voice acting and hand-made sound effects. We hope you enjoy listening to this retelling of Charles Dickens classic story "A Christmas Carol", performed live here at The Apple Seed. (22:57) "You Dressed as a Gypsy and I as a Clown" narrated by Sam Payne: This story narration is an adaptation of the classic story "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens. It tells of a boy named Mark, who loved his mother and his sister. Family was his whole world. That was, until, things took a turn for the worse, and Mark slowly grew to be more irritable and lonely through the years. His path follows closely to that of Mr. Scrooge from the classic Dickens story, but with a twist at the end. With narration from our very own Sam Payne, and exciting music and sound effects, we are thrilled to bring you "You Dressed as a Gypsy and I as a Clown" here on The Apple Seed.
