David Tolk

Maybe we should rechristen this show Highway 88 today (as in the 88 keys of the piano) because pianist, composer and arranger David Tolk is in the studio. He’s released eight instrumental piano CDs, including 3 that feature his arrangements of Christian hymns.  During the fall of 2010 his “David Tolk Christmas,” went to #8 on the Billboard New Age Chart. He performs regularly with pop-folk artist Peter Breinholt in performances across the country and in many local Utah venues. And together they’ve performed with the biggest “back-up band” in Utah: the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square in Salt Lake City. Music is in David’s family. His first piano teacher was his mother (a concert pianist and Juilliard graduate) and one of his own children loves playing so much now that he’s had to start scheduling time on his own piano!
