Movie theaters have changed a lot over the years. We’ve gone from plush velvet seats and ripped ticket stubs to reclining leather lounges and scanned tickets on your phone, yet, despite all those shifts there is an ever present spell that movies cast on us. They seem to leave us tingling as we exit the dark air-conditioned theater and re-enter the world we used to know but now find slightly different. Movies have a powerful effect. Today's episode is dedicated to the profound influence movies have had on our lives. Our friend, Jared Wells, tells a story about seeing The Lord of the Rings for the first time in the Coronet theater, Sam Payne recalls high school memories with Rocco Divilliers, the Apple Seed team swaps stories, and we finish with the classic, "Irrational Fear," by Donald Davis.
