Social media has its pros and cons, but one of the great things about it is that it allows us to share stories like never before. One of today’s stories was first discovered because it was being shared all around social media. But there’s no need to log on because Kate Dudding is here to tell us the inspiring true tale of a women’s softball team that’s full of epic highs and lows called “Softball Gallantry”. Before that, we’ll hear a story called “Truffles” by Syd Lieberman that’s also based on a true story about the wonders of traveling and trying new foods, as well as the woes of budgeting. We’ll also hear a conversation with a friend followed by a light-hearted story called “The Court of King Caractacus” by Willy Claflin that’s sure to make you laugh. Next, we’ll have a silly song from Bill Harley called “A Walk Around the Block” about a frustrated father and his energetic son. And to wrap it all up, we’ll enjoy a Radio Family Journal at the end of the hour.
