Even though the most you might know about them is where they live or what language they speak, the connection that comes from sacrificing your time to serve a stranger can change how you see the world. However, many people shy away from doing humanitarian work due to the many requirements like a second language, long-term commitment, or a special education. So, we wanted to talk to an organization that makes it more accessible for people. Child Protective Services (0:19:47) In any given year, Child Protective Services is responsible for checking on up to 3 and a half million abused or neglected children. CPS is often seen in a negative light by many. They are just there to take away children, put them in the foster care system, and never give them back, right? Wrong.
