(Originally aired April 3, 2018)  Guest: Tom Hoffman, InSight Project Manager, NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory This week, NASA’s Mars InSight Lander successfully touched down on the surface of the red planet. For the next two years, the lander promises to give the most in-depth analysis of Mars ever. And you’re probably thinking, well NASA’s had Martian rovers for a long time. 14 years, to be exact. But those rovers just roamed around searching for signs of life and scoping things out for the day when humans will ultimately arrive.
