American Dream is Dead? (15:07) Dr. Carol Hostetter is a professor at Indiana University in the School of Social Work. Her clinical experience dates back to 1977 at which time she earned her MSW. She teaches undergraduate research, practice, groups, and a child welfare seminar. Her research interests are in the education and training needs of child welfare workers and empowerment beliefs of social work students. Dr. Hostetter is also involved in the scholarship of teaching and learning, especially concerning online education. Dr. Townsend and Dr. Hostetter discuss how young people view the American Dream. When to Get Married (57:10) Dr. Nicholas H. Wolfinger is Professor of Family and Consumer Studies and Adjunct Professor of Sociology at the University of Utah. He received his undergraduate degree at the University of California, Berkeley and his Ph.D. at UCLA, both in sociology. Today he shares his research on when is the right time to get married. Parent Previews (1:41:48) Rod Gustafson from Parent Previews joins the show to look at what is new in theaters this week. Dr Matt and Rod talk about the movies Fantastic Four and Ricki and The Flash.
