It can be awkward when you are caught zoning out because losing focus and letting your mind wander is viewed as a bad thing. But new research shows there's a lot more going on in the brain when we let our minds wander than scientists previously knew. Neuroscientist Aaron Kucyi is a principal research scientist in the department of psychology at Northeastern University.
