Jim Thorpe was known as the greatest athlete in the world. A member of the Sac and Fox Nation, he became, in 1912, the first Native American to win Olympic Gold medals for the United States. When the Olympic Committee found out that his school had been paid $2 a game, on his behalf, to play two seasons of semi-professional baseball, they stripped him of his title and gold medals. Bob Wheeler was instrumental in having those medals restored, after decades of research on the hero. Guest: Bob Wheeler, Emmy Award-winner, founder and President of the Jim Thorpe Foundation and author of "Jim Thorpe: World’s Greatest Athlete"
