Designer Dogs

The French bulldog is the designer dog du jour. Pet registrations for the dog are up 800% according to The American Kennel Club. But the increase in designer pets can also mean an increase in health problems according to Madeline Bernstein. Bernstein is the president of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Los Angeles and the author of “Designer Dogs: An Expose—Inside the Criminal Underworld of Crossbreeding.”
