Scientists are getting closer to bringing extinct animals back to life through genetic cloning. A project by the US Fish and Wildlife Service has just successfully cloned a black-footed ferret using DNA from the frozen body of an animal that died 30 years ago. Pete Gober is the Coordinator of the US Fish and Wildlife Service’s Black-footed Ferret Recovery Program where little Elizabeth Ann, the cloned ferret, was just born.
