Highway 89’s One-Year AnniversaryHighway 89 • Season 2, Episode 31
Sep 22, 2012
For more than 50 years, Classical 89 hoped to broadcast live performances by Utah’s finest musicians on a regular basis. Up until a couple years ago the station lacked the facilities to make such a program possible. But now, with a new broadcasting building to support it, Classical 89 has finally delivered on its dream and that’s what we’re celebrating this hour: 1 year of Highway 89!
Mark Wait, the recording engineer for the show, and Jackie Tateishi, producer, do some behind-the-scenes bean spilling about all that can go right (and wrong) with LIVE performances—starting with our inaugural episode that featured the Utah Premiere Brass.
