Contagion Effect of Mass Shootings (17:05) Dr. Sherry Towers is a Research Professor in Mathematical and Computational Modeling Sciences Center at Arizona State University. She headed up a recent study into the heightened media attention of mass shootings. The results gave insights into how the shootings may have a contagious effect and how the coverage may result in copycat killings for up to 13 days, following the initial shootings.
