Andy Offutt Irwin

This episode features stories by and an interview with acclaimed storyteller Andy Offut Irwin. Andy is a humorist, singer, songwriter, musician, whistler, and "walking menagerie of sound effects" who was awarded the National Storytelling Network Circle of excellence award just this year. In the interview Andy discusses his process for creating compelling fictional characters, his famous character, eighty-five-year-old-widowed-newly-minted-physician-aunt, Dr. Marguerite Van Camp, and  the power of the audience's imagination.  Along with the interview, today's episode contains a few of our favorite stories by Andy including "Book Every Saturday For a Funeral" and "Spinners."
