The Portland Cello Project is a group of players with very diverse backgrounds, and with a constantly-changing lineup of artists and musicians those backgrounds always different, but the one thing they all have in common is this: They play the cello!  Led by Douglas Jenkins, the Portalnd Cello Project brings the cello to places it wouldn't normally be heard. From Prairie Home Companion to  to touring with heavy metalist Buckethead to sports bars in Texas to punk clubs in Boston to haltime shows in Portalnd, you name it they've done it.
