Losing weight is one of the most common resolutions people make for a New Year. More than half of Americans are overweight, but journalist Tommy Tomlinson was on the extreme end of the scale. In Tomlinson’s memoir, called "The Elephant in the Room: One Fat Man’s Quest to Get Smaller in a Growing America", he talks about how after trying every diet out there, there was emotional work to be done.
