The season between the most fertile time of the year and the most desolate invites us all to really contemplate about life… and death. So today on the Apple Seed, we’re going to highlight for you a couple of mysterious stories that are perfect for a Halloween night. This ghost story was concocted by two Englishmen (William Stead and Douglas Murray) at the turn of the century. Stead and Murray told their fanciful tale about a mummy whose remains wreaked havoc wherever it went to eager newspaper reporters who — then as now — weren't about to let the truth get in the way of a sensationally good story.
