We've all heard that first impressions are important. And when we think about the very first moment we interact with someone, how we dress or what we say are usually our greatest concerns. But new studies suggest that it doesn’t always matter what we say but how we say it. Tone of voice, dialect and accent among other things all contribute to how people perceive us.
