With a new school year comes new concerns. One that you might not be so proud of is classroom politics. After all, you might think it’s silly that, as an adult, you can be so worried about what a teacher thinks about your kid. But in all honesty, what happens in your kid’s classroom can affect how they learn and develop relationships at school, so it’s understandable when parents start to get concerned about classroom politics. And when classroom favoritism starts to be a problem, it’s a natural response to get defensive? So how do you resolve this? How do you help your kid have the best educational experience possible, despite how their teachers or peers feel about them? Here to give us some guidance is Dr. Magdelana Battle. She's a psychologist and expert on parenting and child development and she’s here to help us (and our kids) learn to grow beyond classroom favoritism.
