Sir Richard Peto is a Professor of Medical Statistics & Epidemiology at the University of Oxford. Since 1985, he and Rory Collins have been co-directors of the CTSU. He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of London (for the introduction of meta-analyses) in 1989, and was knighted (for services to epidemiology and to cancer prevention) in 1999. Sir Peto shares his findings into happiness and how it relates to mortality.
