Extraterrestrial PossibilitiesConstant Wonder • Season 2022, Episode 860, Segment 1
Feb 5, 2021 • 34m
On September 9, 2017, the first-ever identified interstellar object passed by our sun. Intrigue over "Oumuamua," as it later came to be known, has only grown as evidence against it being a comet or an asteroid has come to light. Although theorists debate the plausibility of alien technology, the possibility of extraterrestrial life encourages us to be open-minded and hopeful about what’s out there, no matter how strange it seems.
Guest: Avi Loeb, theoretical astrophysicist, Professor, and the longest-serving Chair of Harvard’s Department of Astronomy (2011-2020); author of "Extraterrestrial: The First Sign of Intelligent Life Beyond Earth"
