Australian Phillip Walley-Stack is in the studio. Everyone on our production team has been looking forward to this taping for a number of reasons—one in particular being that he’s brought his didgeridoo!  Phillip Walley-Stack is the creator of the stage show “Strong;” a full-scale theater dance production that features ancient and modern instruments. As a singer/songwriter he’s had his music nominated for a West Australian Music Industry Association “Song of the Year Award.” And he’s released a full-length album also titled “Strong.”  In fact many of the songs that he’ll perform in this episode are also on his album.  As an entertainer Phillip Walley-Stack does it all. He’s an actor that has performed at The Studio at the Sydney Opera House and studied acting at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. He’s a trained dancer that studied at Australia’s National Aboriginal Islander Dance College. And he’s a top-notch didgeridoo player having been fortunate enough to study with the likes of Richard Walley—one of Australia’s renowned performers.  Phillip Walley-Stack is currently stateside and in Utah to perform at the Springville World Folk Fest. His US concerts come midway through a slew of international performances. Recently he’s jetted off to Dubai and Jakarta, later he’ll go to Beijing and Hong Kong, and then London.  Follow Highway 89 on twitter @byuH89
