If someone with cancer wants to join a clinical trial for a new cancer treatment, the financial burden alone could mean they have to choose hospice instead. The Lazarex Cancer Foundation is a nonprofit that reimburses people the expenses of participating in a clinical trial, as well as working to enroll more minority patients who are underrepresented in clinical trials.
