Annie Takeuchi Lanzone is a classically-trained pianist with music degrees from Yale and Peabody. Once, towards the end of her Peabody days, her teacher turned to her and complimented her by saying “You know Annie, you could make a really nice living playing 20th century music in Manhattan.” But that wasn’t what she wanted to do at all! Something that she realized at that very moment! Two more advanced degrees later (in Cognitive Psychology from The Johns Hopkins University) she now spends her leisure time arranging and composing sacred music—often while in airports or travelling on buses. She’s also recorded several CDs including the “Instrument of Worship” series and a Christmas album.
