One of the greatest things about the holidays we celebrate is that it helps us to remember the most important things in our lives: our family, our faith, even our heritage. Today, we’re talking about a holiday that has quite an incredible story: Kwanzaa. Founded by Dr. Maulana Karenga in 1966, Kwanzaa is a 7 day African American festival that celebrates culture, family and community from December 26 to January 1. Joining us is Jessica “Culture Queen” Hebron, an award-winning author and speaker, to give us the history of Kwanzaa and how it’s relevant to us.
