Have you ever grabbed a pen from work and forgot it was tucked behind your ear when you left? Then worried that people think you are conspiring to steal office supplies? Often we get so attached to others seeing us as a good person that we aren’t focusing on what it really means, to be continually better. In her TED talk social scientist Dolly Chugh, Ph.D., addresses this struggle and is speaking with us about it today. Dolly Chugh, Ph.D. is a Professor of Business at NYU as well as an author of her recent book, The Person You Mean to Be: How Good People Fight Bias. She studies implicit bias and unintentional unethical behavior. You can visit her website here.
