Epidemic of Children Dying in Hot Cars (17:34) Dr. David Diamond is a professor of Psychology, Molecular Pharmacology and Physiology, Director, Neuroscience Collaborative Program and Center for Preclinical and Clinical Research on PTSD at the University of South Florida. Since 2004 over 300 children have died or suffered brain damage as a result of being left in hot cars. These heart wrenching accidents leave families and communities devastated, but they CAN be prevented. Dr. Diamond explains more about this epidemic, what causes parents to “forget” and how we can prevent future tragedies.
