In his “I Have a Dream Speech” Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. declared “...no, no, we are not satisfied, and we will not be satisfied until "justice rolls down like waters, and righteousness like a mighty stream.” As we celebrate his legacy, we might pause to ask ourselves how far we’ve come in accomplishing those iconic dreams outlined in Dr. King’s speech. Can we declare that “justice [is] roll[ing] down like waters” in the U. S.? Here with us today is a senior lecturer in African Studies at Eastern Washington University, professor Angela Schwendiman to discuss how far we’ve come and how far we have left to go.
