Over the weekend, the Obama Administration announced plans to boost by more than 40-percent the number of refugees it allows in the US each year. The current cap is 70,000. By 2017, that’ll climb to 100,000. But human rights advocates are warning that that’s not enough to effectively address the problem of millions of people who are fleeing poverty and conflict in Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan and other countries.
