Guest: Peter Kalmus, PhD, Author of “Being the Change: Live Well and Spark a Climate Revolution,” Climate Scientist, NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory  If you’re concerned about rising global temperatures and the problems they’re creating, it can be depressing to think how little is within your control. How much difference will it really make for the planet if you drive your car less, recycle your garbage and pay your power company a little more for renewable electricity? Not a lot frankly.  But making those changes – and some more radical ones like composting his own poop – brought unexpected benefits to Peter Kalmus’ life. For one thing, he says he’s happier - even though he doesn’t travel by plane anymore and feeds his family food that’s been discarded by grocery stores.
